How can I make my in-between time more constructive?

West recognizes that all legal knowledge workers have been affected by the current economic climate. On behalf of the West Librarian Relations staff, I would like to extend a helping hand and offer a number of resources to librarians in transition.

 

• Register for free Westlaw access to assist your job search. We have chosen news and business resources to help you conduct basic research and due diligence on companies and industries.

• Keep your research skills sharp with free Westlaw access. Conducting online research is like playing a musical instrument: it requires practice, practice, practice. We have assembled a collection of core legal content to help you remain proficient.

• Increase your Westlaw proficiency with free online lessons. Sometimes there is no substitute for formal instruction. The West eLearning Center provides free interactive courses to help you master the specific tasks that come up in the life of a law librarian.

• Stay in touch with us. Please share your current contact information with your librarian relations manager. That way you can continue to participate in West-sponsored programs and events and have opportunities to network with your colleagues.
